Originally from England, Capt. Will Robins has spent his life on the water and is proud to call Belize home. His fly fishing journey took him onto the international competitive stage at a young age, representing Team England on three occasions, winning a Team Gold Medal, and later captaining the England squad. At 17, Will began guiding on his local trout and grayling rivers and, alongside his guiding career, spent time working at the historic Farlows of Pall Mall in London, one of the world's oldest and most respected fly fishing retailers. These early experiences helped shape his knowledge of the sport and his approach as a guide.

Over the years, Will has fished and hosted trips in some of the world's premier destinations, including the United Kingdom, United States, Slovenia, France, Spain, Uganda, Morocco, Mexico, and Belize, developing extensive experience across both freshwater and saltwater fisheries.

In 2018, Will's passion for saltwater flats fishing brought him to Belize, where he managed operations and trained local guides at one of Ambergris Caye's premier fly fishing lodges. During the pandemic, he relocated to Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, where he founded a successful guiding business and logged more than 500 guided days on the water, helping anglers pursue world-class permit, bonefish, and tarpon.

Now back in Belize, Will and Nissa have built Fly Fish Belize Charters together, combining his years of international fly fishing experience with their shared passion for Belize and its fishery. On the water, Will brings a patient, relaxed and highly personalized approach to guiding. Whether you're making your very first fly cast or pursuing the coveted Grand Slam, his focus is on helping you read the water, make the most of your opportunities and enjoy the process along the way.
